The owner Helmut Schober has been in the plastic and tool and die making
industry for well over forty years.
In early 2000 Helmut opened a new business venture, Vari – Plug (Pty)
Ltd. At Vari – Plug we enjoy the benefit of a range of brand new plastic
injection moulding machines from a renowned German source, a press tool
section, a tool and die room and a design office.
Maintenance of our moulds and the design and manufacture of new plastic
injection moulds or press tools is at our finger tips. All new products
and moulds are designed in-house using the latest CAD system which can easily
be used with most CAM systems as required.
Plastic Injection Moulding
Our kitchen and cabinet range, (all moulded from virgin materials, ensures
a product of the highest quality which doesn’t crack during the assembly
or fitting process), comprises of:
• Plastic corner brackets from small sizes all the way up to the popular
larger Facia bracket. (corner brackets available in a variety of colours)
• Plastic oval brackets of various sizes. (open and closed combinations)
• Centre supports.
• Mirror clips for different applications.
• Escutcheons.
• Plastic locks.
• Plastic knobs and handles in a variety of colours, which are either
stippled or smooth. (Plating Grade is also available)
The lenses which we manufacture are made of high impact acrylic which
perfectly serves the robust nature of the mining industry. The lenses
are used as light bulb covers, which need to be shatterproof and withstand
high operating temperatures.
We also manufacture multiplugs and adaptors for home and office use. All
the multiplugs and adaptors are manufactured from virgin material which
is SABS approved to product specific requirements.
Our multiplugs and adaptors are designed in-house and are strictly designed
in accordance to SANS and IEC standards, which in turn ensures that our
customers and the end user enjoy a product which is safe to use and of
the highest quality. The brass terminals manufactured in-house for our
adaptors and multiplugs allows for close quality control.
