Crabtree Electrical Accessories, a subsidiary of the Powertech group of companies specialises in concept, design, development and manufacture of installation electrical accessories, conduit and an extensive range of domestic electrical accessories. The Wadeville factory has been manufacturing to the ISO 9001 standard since being certified in 1995.
In-line with the company’s organic growth programme, manufacturing services and capacities are available to industry at large. Specific stages in the manufacturing process or the entire process from design through to packaging can be provided.

An innovative approach to enterprise development has served to bolster the BBBEE rating and ensured that the factory is able to adjust dynamically to manufacturing requirements.

Concept Development
The multi-disciplined team is able to evaluate and cost a manufacturing concept, leading to a product that is suitable for efficient manufacture.

Product and Tool Design
Our team of industrial, electrical, electronic and tool designers employ current industry standard CAD technology in designing products and the tooling required to manufacture them.

Tool Manufacture
The latest CAM equipment is available to execute a wide range of tools both for injection moulding and metal die stamping. Multiple surface finish and multi stage tools can be produced. In addition to the manufacture of new tools, existing tools can be repaired and modified.
   




















Plastic Raw Material Blending
A state of the art dry-blend facility, suitable for PVC powder applications can blend custom formulations and deliver in bulk bags.
  

Injection Moulding
A significant production capacity – over 40 machines ranging from 80 to 280 Tonne, moulding product up to a maximum of 850g shot weight. 
Material handling capacity is wide; PA, POM ABS, PC, PVC, PP and HDPE can be processed in the facility.
   
 








Extrusion
Pipes ranging from 20 to 50 mm can be supplied as well as profiles ranging up to 100 mm.
Each step of the process is monitored under the ISO 2001 certification standard.

Product Assembly
A highly flexible team of assembly and packaging workers are in place to complete assembly and package the product.
